Rigid Truck Driver / General Operative (4-Day Week)

Location: Clondalkin, Dublin 22
Salary: Up to 18.50 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

Driving Force is currently seeking a Rigid Truck Driver / General Operative on behalf of one of our clients, based in Clondalkin.

This is a varied role combining driving duties with hands-on operational support across warehouse and production activities. It is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and takes pride in both safe driving and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Driving and Transport Duties

  • Operate a 10-tonne curtain-side rigid truck
  • Complete local and national deliveries and collections
  • Transport materials and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Plan routes and manage delivery schedules
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle condition
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
  • Assist with loading and unloading as required

General Operative Duties

  • Support warehouse, stores, and production activities
  • Handle, move, and organise materials and equipment
  • Assist with packing and preparation of goods
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

Requirements

  • Full clean Category C driving licence (essential)
  • Valid CPC certification
  • Tachograph card
  • Previous truck driving experience (preferred)
  • Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments (advantageous)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices
  • Physically capable of manual handling tasks

Preferred: Forklift licence
