Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Ballymount, Dublin 24
Salary: €38,000 – €45,000 depending on experience
Hours: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Working Pattern: Butterfly Shift (Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently assign customer orders to drivers for delivery.
• Plan and allocate transport resources to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure excellent service.
• Liaise with the Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve delivery issues and ensure accurate order information.
• Create delivery schedules and reports for internal departments and customers.
• Manage records and maintain a digital operation system.
• Meet deadlines and work to a high standard while managing multiple tasks.
• Work independently and demonstrate initiative, ensuring the business’s transport objectives are met.

Requirements:

• Recent experience in a Transport Planner role or a similar position in the logistics sector.
• Strong geographical knowledge of Ireland and the UK.
• High-level IT proficiency, as all operations are digitally managed.
• Solid understanding of transport legislation and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting across all levels.
• Ability to work within tight schedules and structured timetables.
• Problem-solving skills with a flexible approach to shift patterns and business needs.
