Job Description:

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s maintenance operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure the hotel’s facilities are maintained at the highest standards, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. You will lead a team of maintenance staff and coordinate with various departments to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team in daily operations and special projects.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of hotel facilities.
  • Inspect and maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance work.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including cost control and procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong trade background, with certification or qualifications in a relevant trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
