Trade Counter Assistant – Ballymount

Labour Force have an open role with a premium distributor to the furniture, kitchen, and woodworking industries, located in Ballymount, Dublin 12. We are currently looking to recruit a Trade Counter Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced environment, with the potential to progress within the organisation. An interest, or experience, in woodworking, manufacturing or the kitchens/furniture trade would be an advantage, but not essential, as end to end training will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist and serve customers at the trade counter and over the phone
• Cross-sell and up-sell products
• Maintain and develop customer relationships
• Pick customer orders from the warehouse
• Prepare and organise collection orders in advance of customer arrival
• Keep the showroom presentable

Secondary Responsibilities

• Product training with suppliers
• Run and promote current sales promotions
• Responsibilities in delegated stock cycle plan
• Assist in general warehouse duties when required

Requirements:

• Excellent people skills
• IT skills (MS Office a bonus)
• Be a team player but ability to work as an individual
• Excellent attention to detail
• Show enthusiasm and drive
• Forklift licence (advantage, not required)
• Manual handling (advantage, not required)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €28,000.00-€34,000.00 per year
