Workshop Technician / Qualified Motor Mechanic
Tallaght, Co. Dublin
Salary: Up to €53,500 per year
Full-time | Permanent
A well-established and growing automotive service provider based in Tallaght is currently seeking a qualified Workshop Technician / Motor Mechanic to join their busy and professional workshop team.

Working Hours
- Normal working hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Flexibility is required, as the role may occasionally involve Saturday work or later finishes depending on workshop demand.
The Role
As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and efficiency.
You will work closely with the Service Manager and workshop team to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs (SMR) on customer vehicles in line with manufacturer and workshop procedures
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and fault finding
- Identify additional work required and determine the correct parts needed for repairs
- Accurately record all work completed using job cards, DMS systems, and electronic vehicle health checks (eVHC)
- Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in excellent mechanical condition
- Maintain high standards of workshop cleanliness and health & safety
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored after use
- Liaise with colleagues and management regarding technical queries
- Carry out additional workshop duties as required
Requirements
- Fully qualified Motor Mechanic (QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
- Time-served experience working as a mechanic
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Full Category B Driving Licence (required)
- Ability to complete accurate written reports and job records
