Salary: €30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, standard daytime hours

About the Company

Labour Force is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding premium distributor supplying the furniture, kitchen, woodworking, and packaging sectors across Ireland.

Our client is known for high-quality products, excellent customer service, and a strong team-focused culture. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a General Operative to support daily operations across goods handling, preparation, and light assembly activities.


The Role

This is a hands-on, varied general operative position supporting day-to-day operations in a busy distribution environment. The successful candidate will assist across goods handling, order preparation, assembly support, and general site organisation.


Key Responsibilities

Goods Handling & Operations

  • Pick, prepare, and organise customer orders for dispatch
  • Receive incoming goods and assist with checking deliveries
  • Support loading and unloading of deliveries where required
  • Assist with stock rotation, stock checks, and inventory organisation
  • Ensure all materials are stored safely and efficiently

Assembly & Product Preparation

  • Carry out basic assembly of product components (e.g. drawers and furniture parts)
  • Safely use hand and power tools as required
  • Perform basic quality checks to ensure product standards are met
  • Keep workstations and assembly areas clean and organised

General Duties & Team Support

  • Assist colleagues across different operational tasks as needed
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment
  • Work to daily schedules and deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a hands-on operative, warehouse, or production role
  • Assembly or manufacturing experience is an advantage
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, flexible approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Manual Handling certificate preferred (training provided if needed)
  • Forklift licence is an advantage but not essential
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
