Class 1 Driver (Night Shift)

Location: Mallusk, Co. Antrim
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour + £13.00 Subsistence Allowance
Shift: Night Shift, 6:00 PM Start
Pattern: 5 Days Over 7

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics and distribution business for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join their growing transport team in Mallusk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing nationwide multi-drop deliveries, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete nationwide multi-drop deliveries as scheduled.
• Check all orders against delivery manifests and sign for receipt of goods.
• Operate and manage a curtain-side trailer safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Report delivery issues promptly to Customer Services and Management.
• Report vehicle defects and maintenance concerns immediately.
• Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain excellent driving standards and customer service at all times.
• Carry out manual handling duties where required.

Essential Requirements

• Full Clean Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
• Previous experience driving articulated trucks.
• Good knowledge of transport regulations and driver compliance.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours and routes.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Availability for nationwide multi-drop deliveries.
• Valid Manual Handling Certificate.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
