Location: Ballymount, Dublin 12
Salary: €40,000 – €50,000 per annum
Schedule: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30

Labour Force is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing Irish distribution company with a nationwide customer base. With over a century of success behind them, our client supplies premium products and industry-leading brands to customers across the furniture, woodworking, interiors, manufacturing, and retail sectors.

Having doubled in size over the past decade, the company continues to invest significantly in people, technology, and operational excellence. With the rollout of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), warehouse barcoding programme, and e-commerce platform, this is an exciting time to join the business and play a key role in shaping its future.

They are now seeking an experienced Inventory & Goods in Manager to take ownership of warehouse inventory accuracy, goods receiving processes, and stock control operations.

The Opportunity

This newly created management position has been established as part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the goods-inwards and stock control function, ensuring stock accuracy remains at the highest possible standard across the business.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and Purchasing Manager, you will lead improvements in inventory management, warehouse processes, and system implementation while developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Goods Inwards Management

  • Oversee the complete goods-in process from receipt through to put-away
  • Check deliveries against purchase orders and ensure accurate processing
  • Ensure all stock is received, recorded, and stored efficiently
  • Maintain an organised, safe, and productive receiving area

Stock Control & Inventory Accuracy

  • Lead the stock accuracy programme across the warehouse
  • Manage cycle counts, perpetual inventory checks, and stock audits
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvements in inventory control processes
  • Monitor and report on key stock control metrics

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Support the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System and barcoding programme
  • Develop and maintain accurate location control and master data
  • Ensure Goods Received Note (GRN) procedures are followed consistently
  • Work closely with purchasing and accounts teams to maintain inventory integrity
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the goods-in team
  • Create cross-training opportunities to ensure operational resilience
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Lead by example with a hands-on approach on the warehouse floor

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse supervision, stock control, or inventory management
  • Experience within a distribution, wholesale, logistics, or warehouse environment
  • Proven success in improving stock accuracy and inventory control processes
  • Strong ERP and WMS experience
  • Previous involvement in a WMS implementation project is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting, and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement capabilities
  • Natural leadership skills with a hands-on management style
  • Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential
