Accounts Technician Ashbourne, Co. Meath (Hybrid)

Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath
Job Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Salary: 40,000 – €45,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Technician to join a busy and growing accountancy practice based in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of working papers and financial statements.
  • Management of client accounts on a quarterly and bi-annual basis.
  • Preparation and filing of VAT, VAT RTD, and RCT returns.
  • Preparation of draft year-end files.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Responding to and resolving client queries.
  • Working independently and as part of a team.
  • Supporting the business with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
Accounting Technician qualification or IPASS certification.
Experience preparing accounts to Trial Balance stage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using Sage Accounts and Accounts Production software (CCH or similar).
