Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Technician to join a busy and growing accountancy practice based in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of working papers and financial statements.
• Management of client accounts on a quarterly and bi-annual basis.
• Preparation and filing of VAT, VAT RTD, and RCT returns.
• Preparation of draft year-end files.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Responding to and resolving client queries.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Supporting the business with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

✅ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
✅ Accounting Technician qualification or IPASS certification.
✅ Experience preparing accounts to Trial Balance stage.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✅ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
✅ Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
✅ Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
✅ Experience using Sage Accounts and Accounts Production software (CCH or similar).
