Job Opportunity: BCAR Engineer

Operating from our main office in Co Dublin, we specialize in carpentry works on large-scale construction projects and turnkey multi-unit developments. We pride ourselves on delivering fast, efficient, and high- quality services that exceed our client’s expectations.

The Role As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic BCAR Engineer for a project in Portlaoise, which includes 195 residential units and a creche. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collation of all project documentation and reporting to the Project Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a result-oriented, dynamic, and hard-working individual who wants to have a tangible impact on the development of a growing company.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

* Compile required product certification from contractors.

* Gather all material specifications documentation and submit it for approval via Oracle’s Aconnex.

* Ensure coordination and provision of all test certificates and confirmations to the satisfaction of all certifiers.

* Collate all project documentation related to the assigned certifier/design certifier’s inspection plans and the Building Control Amendment Regulations 2014.

* Review inspection reports and direct the appropriate course of action as necessary.

* Monitor and review subcontractor progress and performance, providing feedback to site management.

* Prepare Progress Reports.

* Perform other ad hoc duties as required by the site.

Requirements:

* Third-level qualification in a technical discipline (Construction, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, or related field).

* Relevant experience in a civil engineering or construction role.

* Full understanding of Building Control Regulations and Code of Practice.

* Comprehensive understanding of construction sequence of works.

* Technically strong with excellent communication skills.

* Full valid driving license.
