Digger Driver

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Digger Driver to operate and maintain heavy machinery efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our construction projects, ensuring the timely and precise excavation of materials, grading, and other related tasks.

Responsibilities

Equipment Operation:

• Operate and maneuver excavators and other heavy machinery with precision and efficiency.
• Perform various excavation, grading, and earthmoving tasks as per project requirements.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Comply with relevant regulations and company policies.

Maintenance:

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Report and address any mechanical issues promptly.

Communication:

• Collaborate with other team members and site supervisors to coordinate tasks effectively.
• Communicate any site-specific challenges or requirements.

Problem Solving:

• Identify and address operational challenges promptly to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues independently.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Digger Driver in the construction industry.
• Valid and up-to-date heavy equipment operator license.
• In-depth knowledge of operating and maintaining excavators and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to interpret and follow project plans and specifications.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in heavy equipment operation from a recognized institution.
• Previous experience on construction sites.
