Position Overview: As an Estimator at, you will be a key player in the successful planning and execution of M&E projects. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates, ensuring that projects are delivered within budgetary constraints. If you have a strong background in estimating within the construction or M&E sector, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand the scope of work.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for M&E projects, considering materials, labour, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Present and defend estimates to senior management and clients as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and labour costs.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input on value engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the M&E or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Membership in a relevant professional association is an asset.
